The WiTi SafeTow Wireless Brake Controller is Australia's only brake controller built as part of a fully integrated towing safety platform. SafeTow shares the Anti-Theft System's built-in 6-axis gyro sensor — no duplicate hardware, no extra wiring — so the same device that protects your rig also controls how it stops. Monitor and adjust everything from a dedicated 2.8" touch screen mounted on your dash, always in eyeline, never buried in a phone app or CarPlay menu.
- Dedicated 2.8" Touch Screen: A purpose-built dash display gives you live brake status, force control, and levelling — always visible while you drive, not on your phone.
- Hill Descent Control: Automatically applies trailer brakes proportional to the angle of descent whenever you brake on a downhill grade. Keeps your rig stable without the trailer pushing the tow vehicle.
- Brake Smoothing: Electronically modulates braking output to eliminate harsh jolting — smoother stops, less wear on your trailer, more comfortable for everyone on board.
- USB-C Powered: No cab wiring, no electrician required. Plug into any USB-C port in your tow vehicle and go. Swaps between vehicles in seconds.
- Closed Wi-Fi Pairing: Connects to the WiTi Anti-Theft System over an encrypted Wi-Fi link — no Bluetooth dropouts, no third-party apps, no interference.
- OTA Firmware Updates: Keeps your system current without a service visit — updates download over Wi-Fi directly to the device.
- Smart Levelling: Uses the Anti-Theft System's built-in 6-axis gyro sensor to show live roll and pitch readings on screen. Get your van level before you step outside — no separate level tool needed.
- WiTi TPMS — Tyre & Air Bag Monitoring: Live pressure and temperature on two dedicated dash screens — one for your tow Vehicle and one for your Trailer/Caravan, each showing up to 4 tyres and 2 air bags. Tow vehicle sensors link directly to SafeTow; caravan or trailer sensors link through the Anti-Theft System. Catch a slow leak, an overheating tyre or a suspension issue before it becomes a problem. Requires WiTi TPMS Sensors (sold separately).
SafeTow is designed to move between vehicles — unplug it from one tow vehicle, plug it into another, and you're towing in seconds. The motion sensing stays with the van: Hill Descent Control and Smart Levelling use the gyro sensor inside the Anti-Theft System, so swapping tow vehicles doesn't change a thing.
Compatibility note: The WiTi SafeTow Wireless Brake Controller works with the WiTi Anti-Theft System running the current firmware, available from our firmware downloads page.
- Serial numbers starting ATB86 (SKU 480, April 2026 onward): compatible out of the box. Just install the current firmware.
- Serial numbers starting ATB85: compatible once the unit has had an initial firmware flash by WiTi. If yours hasn't, send it back to us first, then install the current firmware.

No. SafeTow is USB-C powered — plug it into any tow-vehicle USB-C port and go. It swaps between vehicles in seconds.
SafeTow is native with the Anti-Theft System SKU 480 (April 2026 onward). Units with serials starting ATB85 may be firmware-updatable — contact support@witi.com.au. It is not compatible with units made before April 2026.

SafeTow uses Wi-Fi Direct, a wireless technology that lets two devices talk directly to each other without needing a home router, modem or internet connection. It creates a private, encrypted link between SafeTow in your tow vehicle and the WiTi Anti-Theft System on your van, so it works anywhere, including well outside mobile coverage.
