GPS Service Update
Your WiTi GPS Subscription Has Changed
On 29 May 2026, our third-party GPS service provider cancelled all WiTi GPS subscriptions with no prior notice. Your GPS tracker may be inactive. Here's what happened and what you can do next.
What happened?
WiTi GPS hardware has always relied on a third-party provider for the backend software platform — WiTi handled the hardware and sales, while our provider supplied the software used to activate, manage, and support GPS devices.
On 29 May 2026, our third-party GPS service provider cancelled all WiTi GPS subscriptions without advance notice to WiTi or its customers. This was not a decision WiTi agreed to. We are as frustrated as you are, and we're committed to getting you back up and running as quickly as possible.
Your GPS hardware is fine — only the subscription service has been cut. You have two paths forward: continue directly with our previous provider, or upgrade to our new SafeTrack GPS platform.
Which device do you have?
This page is for customers with the original WiTi GPS. If you're already on SafeTrack, you're not affected by this change.
WiTi GPS Legacy
The original WiTi GPS device. If this looks like your unit, your subscription was cancelled on 29 May 2026 — read on for your options.
WiTi SafeTrack GPS
Already on SafeTrack? You're all good — this page doesn't apply to you. Your subscription and tracking continue as normal.

Is my hardware compatible?
SafeTrack GPS uses a different module to the original WiTi GPS. Compatibility depends on your AT unit's serial number and manufacture date.
If your Anti-Theft unit looks like this…
There's a good chance it's compatible with SafeTrack GPS — either straight out of the box or after a free bench flash. Check the serial number cards below to find out which applies to you.
Off-the-shelf compatible
Your unit works with SafeTrack straight out of the box — no modifications needed. Simply order a SafeTrack GPS unit and pair it to your existing AT hardware.
ATB286… / ATB86…
Free bench flash required
Your AT module needs a firmware update before it can pair with SafeTrack. WiTi performs this free of charge — post the module to our Perth workshop and we return it flashed and ready. The $20 freight fee covers both legs.
After August 2022
May not be compatible
Older units may not support the SafeTrack firmware. Contact us before you commit to anything — we'll need a photo of the front of the unit, your serial number, and in some cases a photo of the circuit board configuration to confirm compatibility.
Before August 2022

Frequently asked questions
Can't find your answer? Email our support team.
On 29 May 2026, our third-party GPS service provider terminated all WiTi GPS subscriptions without prior notice to WiTi or customers. Your GPS unit lost its connection to the tracking platform and is no longer actively reporting.
WiTi had no advance warning of this decision. We are working urgently to support affected customers and transition them to our SafeTrack platform or to a direct arrangement with our previous provider.
No. Your GPS hardware is perfectly fine — it's the subscription service that was cancelled, not the hardware. Your tracker is still physically installed and functional; it just has no active platform to report to.
Once you're set up on a new subscription (SafeTrack or direct with our previous provider), your hardware will be active again.
Subscription is AUD $15.00/month or AUD $180.00/year. For hardware and freight pricing, get in touch with our team.
Yes — SafeTrack GPS uses a new hardware unit. Your existing WiTi GPS hardware is not directly compatible with SafeTrack.
However, your existing AT (Anti-Theft) module may be compatible with the SafeTrack unit — either out of the box (ATB286…/ATB86… serial numbers) or after a free bench flash. See the compatibility section above.
You post your AT module to our Perth workshop and we update it for free. The only cost is the $20 freight fee, which covers postage both ways.
Turnaround is typically 2–3 business days from receipt. Email us your serial number first and we'll confirm compatibility before you send anything.
Yes. Any unused credit in your WiTi account will be transferred to your SafeTrack GPS subscription. Email us and we'll apply it when we set up your new account.
No. Your WiTi Anti-Theft breakaway and tow alert system is completely separate from the GPS platform and is not affected by this change. It continues to work normally.
